Great idea. I'm very interested to hear where this will lead.

While I sort-of agree that good films are getting fewer, I would like to slightly modify that statement to say something like "It is getting harder to see good films as well". The issue lies at both ends of the spectrum - with the filmmaker who is confronted with the delicate balancing act of making a film that, while being 'palatable' is still true to his/her cinematic vision, and with the audience who seemingly can only take in so much originality these days.

In between these two lies the morass of the film industry - the distribution companies, critics, film festival curators, what have you - that constricts the flow of art depending on their perceptions of what the audience will soak up. As long as their perceptions don't change and as long as the process of exhibiting films continues to be financially draining, it will be tough (though never impossible!) for filmmakers and like-minded audiences to connect.

No debería haber fronteras artísticas,ni políticas para el cine y mucho menos económicas . Este debería ser un arte liberador, una opción que no solo nos lleve a escapar del tiempo, sino que nos lleve a ser participes de este. A tomar de la vida lo que se nos niega con industria, como publico, como cineasta.
